There is something decidedly East Coast about this historic West Coast town. Not surprising, once you learn that its founders were a group of families originally from the Eastern Seaboard who migrated west three centuries ago. We arrived expecting a drive-through experience, maybe a few snapshots of weatherbeaten homes; however, we came away with much more. The perfect afternoon can be had in Oysterville—fresh sea air, historic buildings, delectable seafood. For a town established in 1854 it has certainly changed, but not enough to overthrow the air of nostalgia that permeates the flower-laden fences, seaside fields and beautiful, old houses ...
