TWIN GABLES
We had a great weekend in Skamokawa, staying at a local inn called, Twin Gables. The owners, Stevan and Kathleen could not have been more friendly and welcoming. Originally two separate houses, Twin Gables was built by a local mill worker as adjacent homes for his daughters. The current owners have flawlessly joined the two separate homes into a beautiful inn.
We spent three days in the area, relaxing, working and exploring, using the Inn as our home base. The bed was comfy (incredibly soft sheets!) and the gourmet breakfasts which were included in the room price were outstanding and the perfect way to jettison us into the day. We consider both Twin Gables and Skamokawa to be high on our rapidly expanding list of favorite "homes away from home" ...
