The southern end of the island is much less “inhabited” but boasts a mystical terrain of breathtaking sea views, far-off peaks (some even topped by ancient forts), a hilltop ossuary, an abandoned prison, and a chain of secluded beaches, each one more obnoxiously idyllic than the last.
