PEWSEY
“What did you get up to this weekend?”
“Um, I went to a fall festival in Pewsey. There were loads of people, food stalls, wheelbarrow races, a disco in some sort of tunnel, and drunk boys in costumes.”
“Sounds bloody awful.”
But it wasn’t. It wasn’t at all, in fact. When your delightful Airbnb hosts, Fred and Lucy, are kind enough to invite you along to one of Pewsey’s oldest traditions to celebrate the autumn solstice, you go. And while it could have easily been awful, it just … wasn’t. It was fun. And even worth the headache in the morning.
